Grundsund, a charming coastal village, is located in the westernmost part of Skaftö, between Orust and Lysekil in Bohuslän. The municipality is divided by a canal lined with picturesque boathouses and moorings. Buy fresh fish, prawns and crabs directly from professional fishermen and look forward to a great dinner. At the bridge to Ösö, the nearby church and the harbor channel are a popular photo motif that should not be missing from your vacation collection. A new promenade at Östra Kajen leads to Skäddhålan and on to a hiking trail to Vigerna. Nature is always close by in Grundsund and is easy to explore on foot or by bike. Experience the many beautiful cycling and hiking trails, some of which coincide with the Kuststigen in Bohuslän. This trail offers varied routes with great viewpoints along the coast and inland. Munkeviksleden and Skuddevigeleden are particularly suitable for hiking. Another archipelago gem worth seeing is the island of Gåsö.
